  • Hope for Henry is reinventing the pediatric hospital patient experience by pioneering innovative programs that entertain and empower seriously ill children. The Washington, D.C. based non-profit is inspired by Henry Strongin Goldberg, whose rare genetic disease required a bone marrow transplant at age 5 and months of recovery in the hospital. Hope for Henry’s program supports embedded full-time child life specialists, providing gifts and entertaining distractions for hospitalized children, and hosting special events throughout the year. Since 2003, Hope for Henry has served more than 45,000 children.
